🚀 In a bold move to go where no one has gone before, Fydelia has partnered with a leading space tourism firm to become the first company to install guest WiFi on extraterrestrial outposts, starting with the International Space Station.
“We don’t expect much traffic initially,” said Steve, our CEO, “but with the rise of space tourism, even our group-wide single sign-on feature could soon be used beyond Earth. We hope to see increased foot-floats over time. And who knows? Since WiFi is often the first brand impression a user gets, we might start seeing Fydelians in orbit before they ever touch down on the planet.”
At first glance, it might sound like a joke—but in zero gravity, a simple login process becomes mission-critical. Fumbling with multi-screen login flows while floating upside down in a pressure suit? No thanks. Our lightweight, space-optimised splash pages are designed for minimum fuss and maximum floatability.
We’re also reviewing our terminology to match our new galactic user base. For example, traditional hospitality KPIs like “footfall” just don’t cut it in zero G. So we’re piloting a more appropriate metric: “footfloats.” Early indicators are promising—one test astronaut floated through our login page four times in under a minute.
Fydelia has always been on the move. In recent years, we’ve powered guest WiFi in locations as diverse as posh beach clubs in Dubai, Discover Fiji tour buses, and even on a converted fishing trawler off the coast of Iceland. We’ve seen Lavazza coffee machines in orbit and Teslas floating in space—so we figured it was time for a couple of UniFi access points to join them.
We’re even in early talks to embed Hotspot 2.0 protocols into EVA suits, just in case astronauts want seamless roaming between modules.
At Fydelia, innovation isn’t just our mission—it’s our launchpad. Out here, nothing is beyond our orbit. 🚀
